Purple Parrot

Review: My family and I ate at Purple Parrot on Monday, July 14, 2014 . The bill totaled $240.18 and we left a tip of $30.00. When reviewing my online bank account Purple Parrot authorized a totaled of $313.18. The receipt I have and signed is for $270.18. I called Purple Parrot to be informed that they authorize over the amount to ensure that they get their money. This does not make any sense at all. Further there is no signage to that effect to let customers know. I asked the employee for this in writing she stated that they do not have the practice in writing so that customers know what they will be charged. The manager could not produce the information either. Had I known, I would have withdrew the cash. I believe that this is not fair business practice.Desired Settlement: I would like the overage refunded and my tip. This is disrespectful and dishonest behavior.
