We hired this company in May of 2019 to complete a Water damage issue. The total time for the project completion was about 2 weeks. I documented the exact times the 2 employees came to work at the house and took pictures on my phone as the work was being done. We filed a claim with our insurance company and the manager, Anthony, was aware of this from the beginning. The 2 employees that came to do the work acted inappropriately at times and took unnecessary steps in tearing apart our bathroom. I had 3 children in the house at the time the work was being done and the manager tried often to fraternize with them. During one of the days he was "working" he went outside and attempted to play basketball with my son and also had alcohol on the premises while work was being completed. Another time I came home from work to find them tearing out the ENTIRE vanity counter top which was not agreed upon. The insurance adjustor stated that the work they had completed was the worst he'd ever seen. It was a horrible remediation. Regardless of the shoddy work they did they were paid the agreed upon amount by the insurance company and the claim was closed. However the owner of the company has decided (after COVID-19 began) to come after us for what he claims still remains on the invoice. He has sent us to collections. What he is doing is illegal and unethical.
The *** hired us to dry water damage and mitigate mold in a bathroom in their home. Everything we did was approved by them. There were no complaints of any type during the process or when we completed the job. Much later, the *** discovered that their insurance policy did not cover mold and that they would be responsible for paying the mold remediation portion of the bill. This is when they protested and lodged these complaints. Their insurance company did pay the water mitigation portion and they paid that portion. The mold remediation portion of this bill remains unpaid.
I called *** to complete some mold remediation in our basement. I had gotten other estimates that struck me as a bit high, and *** seemed very competent and reasonable. We had also agreed that we would limit the containment procedure in the whole process, since that was a significant part of the cost in the other estimates, and we were going to have to clean much of the basement anyway. I do accept responsibility for this part of the procedure. However, the work that was done in the actual areas to remove the mold was not performed adequately, and the test results following the procedure came back with a high mold score. I wrote *** twice, together with a copy of the test results, to request a refund for the procedure (I accept paying for the asbestos test, since that's separate from this procedure), and never heard back from him, although we had communicated by email about other issues earlier. I have chronic fatigue and this mold problem threatens to complicate it.
Please copy ***, *** and *** on this email.
We have talked with adriana and understand her issue. This was an error on our side and we have agreed to refund her the requested amount.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, as long as the refund is actually made, which I have not yet received.
Sincerely
