I have nothing but praise for Purebred Breeders. Our 8 week puppy needed to travel cross county from FL to CA. She arrived to the airport healthy, energetic and adorable. Our vet was very impressed with the paperwork she came with and the shots she already had. I received great information about the puppy and the process the entire time. I felt very well taken care of and would absolutely use this organization again!
We were brought to the Purebredbreeders.com website unbeknownst to us as we were looking on a local website as we had wanted a local puppy. We "fell in love" with "Retro" the puppy, by his photos, video and profile and clicked to purchase him. We received a phone call from Purebredbreeders where we found out our puppy was from the southern states. We were uneasy with the idea of purchasing a puppy via the internet and without being able to visit the home but we really wanted the puppy. The staff at Purebredbreeders were perfect and professional and their process was designed to ensure the puppy was healthy.
We researched the company and discovered some disturbing review stories and news stories although I believe the AKC (American Kennel Club ) was to blame for poor management and allowing inhumane kennels to continue to operate. Purebredbreeders was lumped into this bad reputation. We expressed our concern to Purebredbreeders and they were able to put us on the phone with the breeder and she was awesome and credible.
Our concerns still lingered so we tried a little harder to look locally. We decided to reach out by email to the few breeders within Ontario even though their websites were not up to date with puppy listings. We happily discovered two who had 2 puppies each (although they were 4 and 5 months old and not our first choice of color). We agonized over the decision but finally decided to get a puppy from a local breeder at a fraction of the cost of the purebredbreeder puppy and thought we would loose the deposit of $595. Much to our surprise they reimbursed us all but $100 and were very kind.
We continued to check on the status of "Retro" as we wanted him to find a good home and of course he did. I hope his new family loves him as much as we would have.
We love our new puppy and are being patient to train her and try to bond with her. This is somewhat harder as she was 5 months old when we got her.
I am taking the time to write this review as I really appreciated being able to read other's reviews when I was investigating. Our experience with Purebredbreeders was all positive.
I emailed them about a Yorkie as my Emma a Yorkie passed away this past December and I wanted another one. I also had submitted an app. A lady called me and said I was approved but I asked her if they had any that were much cheaper as I had just been scammed out of $800 trying to buy a Yorkie puppy. She said she would check. Well she sent me an email stating that this particular puppy had just gone down in price.
I checked it out and couldn't believe it, the price went down only $200. Their prices are ridiculous. Some of these people really don't care about their puppies its really about the money!!
She was supposed to call me back to discuss prices and never did.
I don't trust anyone now since people are still trying to scam me but I'm smarter now except now I have no money to even buy a shelter dog and they are not cheap either!!!
Our family wanted a miniature pinscher puppy and looked at what we thought was a local website. The puppies we clicked on brought us to another website (purebredbreeders.com) although we didn't realize until we made the call to purchase. We didn't realize the puppy could be from anywhere in the USA. We chose a puppy and paid a deposit and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We learned from them that purebredbreeders.com were linked to 700 different puppy websites. This made me uncomfortable as I had wanted a local puppy, but we ''fell in love'' with "Retro" by his pictures, video and profile. We learned he was from North Carolina so we worried about the flight and what type of home he was from. Each communication we had at purebredbreeders was with a different agent, but they were all professional and the process was credible. We checked many reviews and news stories about purebredbreeders some which were good and some which were scary to read which added to our anxiety about buying a puppy through the internet. The AKC (American Kennel Club) seems to have been the cause of a lot of problems with permitting inhumane dog kennels to continue to operate. I believe purebredbreeders has gotten lumped into that bad reputation.
We continued our search for a min pin within Ontario and emailed the few breeders even though their website stated they had no puppies. We were thrilled to discover 2 breeders each having 2 puppies each [all though they were 4 and 5 months old and not our first choice of colour.] Also, these puppies were a fraction of the cost and we could drive to see the breeders home. So we took our time with the difficult decision.
We expressed our concern to purebredbreeders and they were able to put us on the phone with the breeder of our puppy and we had a lovely conversation with her which also sounded very credible.
Finally we decided to purchase one of the puppies closer to us and figured we would lose the $ 595 deposit. However, much to our surprise and delight, purebredbreeders returned all but $100 for administration fees. I was very impressed with this business policy as some of the reviews complained that they lost their deposit upon changing their minds. Perhaps this new policy came about as a result of such complaints?
We have to admit, we continued to check on "Retro", the puppy we almost got. We had a spot in our hearts for him and wanted to be sure he got a home. Of course he did and I hope his owners are very happy with him.
Having gotten a puppy at the age of 5 months, we are starting from scratch and the trainer calls her a "re-home" which are harder to train and bond with. That is okay, we have lots of love and patience but we do wonder what it would have been like to get the younger puppy.
