Review: Vehicle was purchased and not as advertised. Vehicle was illegally sold with emissions equipment tampered with and removed. Dealership stated that SMOG inspection had been completed, however, [redacted] investigation discovered no SMOG certificate had been completed. The illegal alterations of the vehicle prior to purchase without purchaser knowledge caused $20,000 worth of vehicle damage. Dealership will not negotiate with purchaser. Attorney has tried to contact Dealership numerous time without response.Desired Settlement: The repairs of the vehicle need to be paid for by the dealership. This vehicle was sold illegally and the purchaser should not be responsible for correcting the illegal emissions tampering or repairing the damage from the tampering.
