with its terms and conditions. On the morning of Tuesday, 1/9/18, her son had several diarrhea diapers. According the the rules and regulations of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Pumpkin Patch Parent Handbook, the child could no longer stay at the center with diarrhea. We called mom to pick up the child and let her know that he could return after he was 24 hours symptom free. Mom was angry that she had to pay for the days her child was not at the center. I reminded her that her tuition is based on enrollment and not attendance at the center and that refunds are not given. Both policies are stated in the Parent Handbook and signed by Ms. [redacted]. I told Ms. [redacted] that policies and procedures about illnesses and tuition are enforced for the safety and protection of all of our families. It was Ms. [redacted]'s decision not to bring her son back to the center. She knowingly signed the contract and became upset that we follow the procedures of the contract. Both the enrollment form where she signed acknowledgment of the rules and the Parent Handbook with the rules about enrollment, tuition, fees, no refunds, no discounts for absences are attached. Pumpkin Patch Learning Center is a 4 Star Texas Rising Star Preschool and stands by it's policies and procedures to provide the best quality early childhood education for the children of our community.
