My father, ***, (age 98) was a resident at ***, an assisted living facility in ***, until mid-July of this year. His family lives in *** and their contracted hair salon to provide the care that my dad needs in our absence. We sent a checkfor $16.00 to cover the cost of my dad’shaircut June 15°. We see from our bank statement whereSalon PS cashedthe check but when we went to *** a couple weeks later to help him move back east with us we found my dad’s hair was a shaggy mess. It obviously had not been cut at all for several months. To make matters worse, when we had our localhair salon cleanup the messthe stylist noticed thatthe previous time his hair was cutonly one sideof his head was done.It seems he was napping at his appointment time so the lady fromSalon PS simplycut a little on the side of his head that she could easily access. We have maderepeated requests to Salon PS, asking for a refund forthe hair cutthat was paid for in June and was simply never done. The main office
tells us since the *** people received and cashed our check there is nothingthey can do.
After several months of unsuccessful effort on my own, due to your recent assistance, I received a refund check for the full amount requested. I truly appreciate your help.Taking care of all my dad's affairs is not easy, you have helped so much.Thank you
I purchased a variety of salon services for my aged aunt at her assisted living facility. This past Winter she moved. I then called and emailed this company to get a refund of the balance and when I called I Was told the check was coming. Almost 5 weeks later no check. I then emailed and now they are saying they submitted my refund via paypal, which I DID NOT pay with, have actually not used the account and they could not provide proof. They then told ME to call paypal and find out! I wasted time on hold for an extended time, even though paypal had NOTHING to do with how I paid. I finally had to hang up to watch my young son. This is ridiculous and I want my money back! I have copies of my email requests!
We promptly responded to *** refund request when she first asked in May. Our refunds are processed through PayPal which we use to process all of our gift certificate transactions.
Unfortunately, there was an issue with PayPal and the customer that we were unaware of until June 24th. Once we learned of this, we sent her a check for the refund and followed up with PayPal.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we hope our quick response is proof that customer satisfaction is a top priority.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It did not occur as the business stated but I DID get my check once I had sent a complaint to the Revdex.com so thank you for the help.
Regards
My mother lives at ***. I pay her bills. Months go by without receiving a bill for her hair appointments...then we get a huge bill that states we have payments past due, when no bill was received. I am paying her bills because a substitute hairdresser used her check routing number to set up a recurring payment to her credit card from my mother's checking account. The same thing happened to another resident at ***. We pressed charges and the hairdresser was sent to jail for 6 months and had no remorse. We don't have any other option for her to get her hair done, but this is an unacceptable way to do business.
We are sorry you have experienced an issue with our billing department and an individual that does not represent our company's values and is no longer employed with us. We are reaching out to you in person as I type this to resolve this issue and prevent any miscommunications in the future. Taking care of our residents is our top priority and we are passionate about making our seniors-and their families happy. Thank you for alerting us to this issue; we will have it resolved immediately.
Although Salon PS has tried to be responsible with the hiring of the substitute employees, I find that he experience my mother had was beyond her comfort zone. I do find the billing practices are a bit iffy and am waiting for the statement for services rendered in Sept to be billed. It is November and I have yet to receive a bill. Sad.
