I'm writing this letter in response to answer the complaint letter sent to my companyI would like to first explain my company's policy regarding "free estimates"A free estimate is provided to homeowners who own the home or property in need of repairWhen my business is requested to
provide an estimate for for a perspective buyer of a property or insurance claim estimate, then it is explained at the time of requested service that there is a $fee to cover the estimator's time and paper work serviceIf the perspective buyer purchases the property and uses my company to complete the work noted in the requested estimate, then the $fee is deducted from the bill of serviceThe same policy applies to insurance claim estimatesThank you for your time, Kenneth JShear, Shear Contractors Inc
