I was assigned Protech for a warranty claim on a rental property that I ownOnce I received the claim number and vendor information I called their offices to give them my tenant's information and to let them know that I would be paying the service feeThe woman who answered the phone was completely rude and told me that she didn't have the claim yetI tried to give her the claim number so that when she did get the claim, she would have all of the informationShe just kept cutting me off and wouldn't take down any of the informationThen, when the claim did come through, she started calling my tenant and telling her that she had to pay the service fee not meOutrageousMy tenant is elderly and became very stressed out thinking that she was going to have to pay for the workAfter finding this out, I called my tenant to assure her that I would be paying for the repairShe mentioned that the company had called her several times demanding the paymentI called the warranty company and requested a different company be sent due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of this companyI then received a call from Protech, which I didn't answerI sent them an email explaining why I changed vendors and promptly got back a defensive and again, rude responseI do not know why warranty companies keep people like this on their list of vendors
