I spoke to ***, and Explained that we use torque wrenches when tightening drain plugs in all oil pansOur torque setting is ft.LbsWhich is not sufficient to crack an oil pan, and that aluminum oil pans can crack due to metal fatigue, casting flaws, etc...I explained to [redacted] that if he was to get something in writing from the [redacted] dealer stating that torquing a drain plug to FtLbs would crack an oil pan I would gladly pay half of the repair, which at the time that is what [redacted] was looking forThe dealer told [redacted] that torquing an oil pan to FtLbs, would not crack an oil pan and that ***'s spec was FtLbsSo in closing where Prompto Minute oil change torques all oil pans to FtLbsWith a calibrated Torque wrench, It impossible that Prompto was the cause of the crackThank You
I certainly sorry to hear about [redacted] problem with the wiper transmissionHowever I am the Field Manager for the company and was not aware of this issueI have not received a complaint from the store regarding the issueI would need to see the receipt from the oil change first and ensure that the correct wiper blade was installed on said vehicle.I would be more than happy to look into this and give the customer a decision as to which way the company would proceed provided we in fact did something wrong.the customer may contact me at my office; [redacted]
