Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/30) */
Dear Ms. [redacted]
In response to case #XXXXXXXX involving Ms. [redacted] and FencePro:
Ms. [redacted] contacted FencePro on October 5, 2015 requesting a bid for repair/replace of her Front Fence. Dale Conway Estimator met with her...
the following day, and while at the site, Ms. [redacted] requested to have 2 other side fences measured and quoted as well. This fence project was broken down according to sides, and priced based on installing all 3 fences at once. On October 23rd, we received a deposit check and contract from Ms. [redacted], but only for one section of fence. Upon receipt, I contacted Ms. [redacted] via e-mail, and also left a voice message stating that we could only honor the bid if this fence was done in conjunction with the other 2 as it had been priced as a whole project, not a stand alone bid. She called me back, and after I verbally explained it again, she asked for her money back, which I immediately complied with.
A refund check #[redacted] in the amount of $274.13 was mailed to Ms. [redacted], thus terminating all engagements. As proof, I attached the correspondence between myself and my staff to Ms. [redacted].
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at (XXX) XXX-XXXXc.
Thank you,
[redacted], Owner
FencePro
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/11/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
At no time during the estimate, including the written estimate were these three jobs tied together. In fact during the estimate process, I stated I was not sure what I could do (how many of these projects I could do). BUT I did get my money back, so I am grateful the company lived up to their word this time.
