Review: Contractor was hired to perform hardscape construction in backyard. AFter 60% of total project budget was paid on May 9, 2014, contractor began to slow down project and has not performed any work in over a month. Work currently estimated to be about one-third complete. Contractor repeatedly promises to show up to work but never does. I have contacted other contractors to get cost estimates to finish work. As a result, my out-of-pocket costs are going to rise almost $13,000 over the original budget due to overpayment to original contractor due to lack of progress.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of $12,879 which is the additional costs above the original contract budget that it will cost me to have this projected completed by another contractor.
