The program requires HCG injections, and, according to the FDA, HCG is NOT approved for weight loss, has no effect on burning fat, and a consumer is supposed to be informed in writing of this fact, which I was not. In fact, when I printed out the information off FDA.gov, Jeff tossed the papers back across the table at me at told me to take my “propaganda” with me. Each week, as previously stated, I was given a different excuse as to why the program wasn't working. Examples: Week 3: “everybody plateaus at week 3”…week 4: “you're eating too many tomatoes… tomatoes have sugar in them”…now, according to their instructions, you have to eat 12 cups of vegetables from a prescribed list. There are no proportions, recommended amounts, etc., so theoretically, you could eat 12 cups of tomatoes and be within the parameters of their program. Week 5, when I still was not in ketosis… I'm drinking too much water, and it's diluting the ketones… No one who lives in Arizona can possibly drink too much water. I average 116 oz. per day, which according to them, up until that moment, was perfect. I was also told somewhere in that timeline that she (the nutritionist) didn't care if I wasn't in ketosis. Now, since the whole basis of this program is supposedly to get a person into Ketosis, why is this now unnecessary, and why then, am I testing for Ketosis every 3 days? By week 6, the “nutritionist” threw her arms up in the air and said she didn't know why the program wasn't working for me. Now, please understand, this program is advertised as a “Personalized plan based on your body”. All along, I was told that my Cortisol levels were too high. From a medical standpoint, my Cortisol levels are in perfect range, but this company seems to think they know more than real doctors. So, just to be sure, I went to a Medical Dr., with a 30-year history specializing in weight loss, (and who also has a *patented* weight loss product) who told me that we all have Cortisol, and hers was higher than mine. I feel that if Cortisol was going to be such an impediment to my losing weight, I should have been informed of that upfront and given the choice of whether or not to proceed, but this company is all about getting your money. When I met with the owner, Jeff Dunn at week 7, he promised that we would get to the bottom of what was going on, put me back on his scanner that he likes to brag about spending so much money on, and according to him, I had gained 3% muscle. Well, yes, my arms are becoming toned, but that would be as a result of working out with my personal trainer since March. There is no way to tell how things can be manipulated in his computer program, and at this point, I had absolutely no trust in him or his results. He tried to tell me that, according to his machine, I lost 20% of my body fat, which is absurd: First, if I had lost that much body fat, my clothes would fit a lot differently, and I wouldn't be sitting here writing this, and second, I had body fat measurements from three outside sources, and his numbers are off. According to my physical measurements, I lost an inch off my chest and that's it. The excuse that time was that they have no control over where a body burns fat. So it ended up that Jeff gave me a *FREE* MitoKit, which is basically another jar of supplements, adding 10 pills to the 32 per day I was already taking, and asked me to “work with him” and to “give him a month”, as the additional supplements were a 30-day supply. So I dutifully swallowed more pills, and at my next week's check-in, I had actually gained weight. At that point, the nutritionist informed me that she was tired of my attitude, hung up on me, and the next day I received an email from Jeff Dana, kicking me out of the program, and offering me $500.00 of the $1997.00 I paid on the condition that I return the unused portion of the *FREE* supplements he had “so generously” given me.
