Just out of hospital for mental health crisis. First day at Project Soar, I was placed in a filthy "recovery" house where the residents and house manager were drinking and using drugs onsite. Called the manager who said he'd change my house in the morning. After a terrible night, by the time he called me in the morning, I had already bought a bus ticket back to my home area in Panama City Beach, FL. for IOP. {start tomorrow}
Was terribly disturbed by the experience which promises sober living. NOT!!!! Had paid $390. for intake and 2 weeks rent. One night, and they refuse to give me any refund - not even for the second week because they didn't like my Mother's attitude on the phone. I was too anxious to confront them. They were rude, 2 different managers made up different stories and excuses. One said a refund was in order because they failed to provide a safe, sober house as promised. The other denied it all and said too bad, He could have moved to a different house. This is just another example of greed among flop houses in south Florida. This was not my first!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience in a review. â??Since 2010, Project SOAR Recovery Residences has provided transitional supportive housing for men in the South Florida area. Our primary goal has always been to provide a clean, safe, sober, and responsible environment to recovering alcohol and/or substance abusers which will, in turn, support recovery. As a state certified recovery residence we are committed to ensuring every new resident has a positive experience in our program. Due to HIPAA and privacy reasons I am not at liberty to go into detail as to what events transpired upon your admission but I can assure you the facts presented are false and a complete misrepresentation of what took place and the sole reason for this review being posted is because a refund was denied. As one of the first recovery residences to become certified in Broward County, I urge anyone interested in our program to join us for a tour and see first hand the wonderful things happening at Project SOAR each and everyday. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We wish you the best of luck in your recovery.
Great place for recovery. The residents are clean, affordable, and safe. The staff treats you like family.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Project Soar was a great experience for me to live and and work on my recovery. My house manager Tim was awesome. He helped me with whatever I needed. The general staff were polite and very helpful. The residents I lived at was so clean you could eat off the floors, It was also very affordable, as I am on a fixed income. I recommend Project Soar to anyone who is looking for recovery.

Good Afternoon,
Myself along with the entire management team here at Project SOAR are committed to providing each of our residents with an environment that inspires change. For over ten years we have offered a safe, clean, affordable and secure community and work diligently to ensure all of our residents are surrounded with caring individuals who are a testament to the benefits of living a healthy, sober lifestyle.
Unfortunately due to HIPAA, I am not at liberty to discuss any residents particular case in an open, public format such as this. I can assure you that should Mr. wish to speak with us regarding his concerns we would be more than happy to arrange a time to do that Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM. I have attempted to reach out to him directly without success on three separate instances today. He is welcome to contact our Resident Accounts Manager directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX ext *** or on his cell phone at XXX-XXX-XXXX. We look forward to working with the Revdex.com and Mr. to resolve his concerns.

Hi ***
The environment at the sober livings was hardly what you had described in your email to Revdex.com.
1. *** and *** were not very nice to me, they were very judgemental of me and made no feel very uncomfortable. I didn't feel there at the sober living. I believe there are residents that are using
there. There was one angry guy upstairs that I thought was going to hurt me. I had 20 bucks stolen from my room, the house was so dirty. There was residents belongings there under my bed that were there before me because the manager was to lazy to go clean the stuff out.
I had to go back into the hospital right after I got into soar and the dropped me off at the office location. I guess *** didn't like that. He kept on badgering me on why the couldn't drop me off at the house, I had told him that I have to go where the hospital states on the release papers. I was being very snide.
He got into a screaming match with me and told me he was going to be kick my ***.
He then called the director and said I was acting crazy and unless I my rent for the month I would have to be dropped off with no place to go.
This was the 2nd and I told him I do not get paid till the 3rd. He said that doesn't matter and I would need to find another be place to go.
Also even though I had a credit from moving to a cheaper house.
So he deliberately created a homeless situation, right after a hospitalization.
I would like a full of what I paid which was around $450
There is a disconnect between you and your houses
I am willing to go to the media regarding this and other events that happened during my stay
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They are lying, I would like my money back. They owe me for at least for a week of rent.
I feel again ignored and that I do not matter, sort of like the day *** called me crazy and threatened to cause me bodily harm, and then dropped me off with all of my stuff at ***.
Even if this horrific business doesn't refund me what I am entitled to, my story is now known on the public domain.
It will hopefully serve as a warning to anyone that decides to do to business with them.
BTW the only reason why I wanted to take your offer on coming back is because my council
thought it might be a good way to get me what I am owed, but in reality I would rather live in the gutter.
I just do not know why people cant do what is right. Shady! and you should be ashamed.
I will be contacting the media, and newspapers
Thanks you
