Customer signed an acknowledged that they were responsible for payment prior to the start of any work whereby they acknowledge that we work on their behalf and would work with them to receive payment from their insurance companyThey were confident that their insurance coverage would take care of
any charges and asked us to proceedOnce an adjuster visited their home, they learned that they would not be covered for the loss since the sump pump failed for lack of serviceThey requested that we remove our equipment which we did however the charges for service rendered up to that point was the customers responsibilityWe make no “verbal” agreement and act under the direction of the “authorization to perform” which they signedIn an attempt to resolve the customer’s concern regarding lack of insurance coverage, we offered a discount of 10% and payment plan as a courtesy which was refused by the customerAs such it has been turned over to a collection agency who is handling all further payment arrangements

I am rejecting this response because:Deceptive Sales Practice After various requests to speak with the *** Freehold owner, we sent him an email stating how we felt their Salesman deceptively had us sign into contract by wrongly advising us that we were covered under insurance and only responsible for the usddeductibleMy insurance company, and insurance agency, both confirm the *** Freehold salesman was advised during a call at 10:44am on Sunday February 11, that we had no coverageWe were told by the *** Freehold Salesman that we did coverageWe woke up on a Sunday morning, with a few inches of water in an unfinished basement with a drylock coatingWe initially ran to a major hardware store to rent two pumps as *** advised that being it a weekend morning it would take time for them to arriveWith our rental pumps pushing water out of the basement the *** salesman arrived and advised his crew was on their wayWe advised that we could not make initial contact with insurance company, and we do not see sump pump coverage written on the policy, so being that our situation is under control and would NOT need his services He offered to review our insurance policy and proceeded to call themThis was at 10:44am Sunday February 11, He, the *** Freehold Salesman, advised us that a claim was opened, and we were covered, subject to only a usddeductibleFor that amount we though we’d leave it to the experts to handleDays later we were advised that our policy DOES NOT cover sump pump and were hit with a bill for over usd2000! We attempted to mitigate with the owner who offer a 10% discount which we could not acceptHe then immediately sent our account to a Collection AgencyTo avoid additional charges, the same day, we paid as requested usd2639.48, which included the Collection Agency fee and interestAccount PAID IN FULL
