Good Afternoon The purpose of this e-mail is to share some concerns to I have regarding this matter. First off, the owner of Real Estate Investment Services (REIS) sent me a letter shortly after I'd registered my complaint with your office. In this correspondence, she made a veil threat of taking legal actions against me to which I promptly rebuffed her. Her position is somewhat baffling to me for the simple fact that it was REIS's employee, Claire W [redacted] who informed the tenant and myself of the theft. It was also REIS who initiated the police report and provided a copy of the report to the tenant so she could file a claim to retrieve the funds. Finally, it was Claire W [redacted] whom told both myself and the tenant that a second person's money order had also been stolen and REIS had stop accepting deposits at their office because of the potential of someone stealing the contents within the drop box. Why the owner continues to overlook these important facts is beyond my comprehension. I'm not sure whether she's spoken with Ms. W [redacted] but she should and hopefully, that should end this back and forth. I've ask the tenant to draft a statement regarding what was discussed and I'm on the record as attesting to what was related to me by Ms. W***. This information was also conveyed to investigators from the state real state commissioner's office by the tenant back in Oct 2016. Respectfully [redacted] *. [redacted]
