12/6/ My $bill from Ozarks Medical Center was turned over to Professional Credit Management for collection Prior to this, I received at least four bills from OMC, each for the incorrect amount Each time I sent a copy of the incorrect bill to OMC with a note requesting a corrected bill and an itemized statement I have since been advised that during this time OMC was trying to get their bill to agree with the charges approved by my insurance company I received the correct bill on 10/27/but no itemized statement After multiple phone calls to OMC, I received the itemized statement on 11/23/and paid the bill the same dayProfessional Credit Management sent me a statement requesting payment of the $to them I advised them via email on 11/25/that I had already paid the bill It took them until 12/2/to have the appointed person call me about the matter That person advised that the letter I requested in my 11/25/email was sent to me on 11/30/ The letter I requested was to state that my debt collection issue was resolved and all record of the matter would be removed from my files The 11/30/letter they sent to me arrived on 12/5/and said, in part, "the collection process will resume." After three phone conversations with Professional Credit Management this morning, finally speaking with a supervisor named Chris T(spelling?), I was informed that the 11/30/letter sent to me was the incorrect letter !!! I was also informed that they have no letter that states that my debt collection issue was resolved and all record of the matter would be removed from my files I asked why they could not type such a letter The response was that they could send me an email stating same I agreed to this, provided the email contained the information I requested My overall opinion of Professional Credit Management, regardless of the fact that they are a debt collection agency, is that they are much less than "professional" and that their employees require additional training in interaction with clients and sending letters May I also add that this is my first experience with a debt collection agency I conduct my personal business in such a manner that there is no need to be involved with collection agenciesI pay my bills ahead of time - never late
