Pro Tan [redacted] To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is written in regards to the unethical treatment I received at your tanning salon. I came into your location during the first week in July and asked to cancel my membership as of August 1st 2014. I was told by the Manager [redacted]) that in order to cancel for August I had to wait until August 1st. I told her that I thought I had to cancel before the 1st and she said firmly “No” you will need to come back on August 1st. During this conversation there was another representative standing behind [redacted] who looked like she wanted to disagree with her but didn’t. I came on August 1st and was told by that same representative that was standing behind [redacted] on the day in July that I was too late to cancel for August 1st and now my cancelation would take effect on September 1st. I informed her that she was there when [redacted] told me to come in on August 1st to cancel for August 1st. She said all I can do is leave [redacted] a note to call you back and put you down for the September cancel sheet. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated and the dishonestly, therefore I will never tan at this establishment again and I have blocked my credit card from you billing any further.
I have been a loyal customer and have come to this salon for 2 years. This is not only disappointing it is unethical. That on top of the way I was treated by [redacted] I received a call from [redacted] stating that I will not be able to cancel my account at all. You cannot force me to come to your salon and I will not tolerate the treats, I have not tanned in your salon at all in August and I will not be billed for August.
I suggest that you revisit your policies on how to grow and keep your customer base. This is not how you continue a relationship with valuable customers.
Respectfully, [redacted] Very Disappointed Consumer
