The wrap we installed didn’t failThe failure was due to the gelcoat absorbing water, causing the surface of the boat to blister which caused the paint to turn looseThe blisters (See Attached Photos) are water trapped behind the paint and when the paint starts to come loose, the wrap inevitably
comes loose as it is applied to the paint (See attached photos)We have no way to know the condition of any gelcoat, or any way to test itOur warranty does not cover failure due to underlying issues beyond our controlWe cannot say to anyone, how long they can leave their boat in the water before seeing this issue, it depends on the condition of the gelcoat.As a means of settling this with the client, I offered to replace the damaged areas of the wrapI also told the client that it WILL happen again as it had nothing to do with the adhesion of the film nor the way it was installedHe said no, he wanted the full wrap replaced, to which I disagreed, telling him that this is not a warrantable failureIn the end, I offered him a 50% refund and remove the wrap to which he agreed and we honored
