Electrician asked to perform several tasks on first visit (4/30/18). First two tasks (high ceiling can light repair and bulb replacement, and undercounter light install) were done well. Third task was to determine cause of severe whole house light flickering and electrical fluctuations. The house has three circuit breaker panels clearly marked as to location but main box was not inspected. I was billed for "checked panels for loose connections". I called Pro 1 and they sent a different electrician the second visit who checked the main box and tighened a loose connection within 10 minutes of arriving. This solved the problem. I received an invoice for the first electrician for $391.60 that included "checked panels for loose connections" when in fact that was not completed. I then received a second invoice for second electricians work for two hours labor, total bill $169.60. In summary, the first electrician billed for something he didnt complete, and second electrician billed for duplication of what first electrician claimed he did.
I believe the first invoice should be reduced accordingly as he didnt solve light flickering problem by not inspecting all boxes. Second electrician should be paid to have solved flickering problem but not for duplicating work of first electrician. This was discussed by telephone with Pro 1 representative who stated "charges are for work, doesnt matter that problem was not solved or two electricains billed for same service".
In response to complaint ***, our electrician was on site on 4-30-18 to determine the cause for flickering lights. While there *** asked for additional work to be done. He did change 6 under cabinet lights, fixed one can light, changed out 6 can lights and checked 2 panels for a loose connection located in the basement. The electrician checked two of the panels because that was all he was aware that was in the home. He explained to *** that he could not find the problem. He finished up with the additional work requested and came back to the Pro 1 Electric office. He spoke with the project manager about the problem and a suggestion was made to check the dimmer switches for compatibility with LED lamps. The electrician then left for the day to go home. While on his way home he called back in to the office for the *** phone number because he wanted to tell them to trouble shoot the dimmer switches. A phone call was made around 3:45 to the *** The customer was charged for 3.5 hours of work because we were on site trouble shooting flickering lights and replacing or fixing a total of 13 lights not associated with the flickering issue.
The second visit was on 5-9-18 to check to see if we could find the problem for the flickering lights. A different electrician went out trouble shoot and it was brought to his attention that there was a third panel located in the garage. The problem was a loose connection in the garage panel. An invoice was created for this visit for the 2 hours our electrician was on site to determine the problem.
We do not feel there is an overlap in the billing. Our first electrician was not aware there were 3 panels to check. He checked the two he was told the location and did additional work. The second electrician was told of the third panel so that is what he checked and found the problem.
We can deduct an hour of labor off the second invoice for the time the second electrician was doing a thorough job inspecting the electrical system, not just one panel.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I *** and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
