I was referred to BVSA in June, for weight loss surgeryI have MO United Healthcare MedicaidMy insurance requires that I complete months of nutrition appointments with them and get clearances from several other doctorsI completed my months and got cleared by everyone required to clear meWhen it came time to give me a surgery date BVSA was unable to do so due to them being stripped of their Medicaid/Medicare certificationThey lost their certification in June, the very same month that I started the process with themDespite their attempts at appeal and suing the company that took the certification away from them they were not able to get recertifiedThis should have been told to me from the beginning (rather than Diane in billing/insurance explaining all of this to me today)Instead I was deceived and kept in the dark, all the while jumping through all the insurance hoops and completing months of appointments in their Springfield, MOofficeThey more than likely
