After arriving to the emergency department, I was quickly placed in a new labor and delivery suiteSome staff being rude and unprofessional , I was pleased to know that there were few who was kind and enjoyed their work I was in early labor and was not properly assessed or treatedI was told that I was not in any real labor and that I was being dramatic with no contractionsThe pressure cuff from the trash was placed on my left armAfter asking why, I was told that the trash had been recently changed so it was not dirtyAfter a new nurse came in and I felt comfortable enough with her to express my alarming concernsShe got the head nurse and our findings showed a neglect to notice the obvious, my water broke well before arrival with my baby in distressAfter hours passed from me coming in with no pain meds and last minute needing an emergency C sectionThe hospital neglected to follow the standard of care for usStarting with my newborns lab work was mixed up with a crack babyThey started the drug treatment without informing meI wasnt told until my child died of an overdoseBMP social workers , doctors and nurses never called child protective services or the policeThis breaks mandatory reporting for every employee who cared for my babyI was never arrested for Chemical AbuseI pray for answers and who to report all these violations toIs this the new standard of care? They set the bar low
