Property manager is attempting to charge additional charges unnecessarily. We have requested to have our outbound inspection completed approximately 20-30 days earlier than originally scheduled to have the condition of the property we are renting documented as we are in the process of moving out. Recently we have arrived at the property to find doors unlocked and lights on within the house after we (the tenants) have ensured the homes security and the lights were all off. We have been informed that we will be charged a 20% fee as a "showing fee" if we were to do this. We have stated on several occasions that we will be paying the full rent required to fulfill our entire lease. With this in mind, we are not terminating our lease early and it is not our responsibility to assist the property manager in finding another tenant as, again, we are not terminating the lease early. We are simply requesting to have the inspection completed ahead of schedule so we are not held liable for issues that may arise once we have moved all of our property out and/or secondary to oversights (doors left unlocked) by parties showing the home. We have attempted to contact the property management company to address these concerns. Our attempts are typically met with either no response or partial response to pieces and parts of our questions. No attempt has been made to address our concerns about the security breech nor the lights being left on at our expense. Desired SettlementWe would like to conduct our outbound inspection at an earlier date providing all keys to the home upon the successful completion of this inspection where both parties (tenants and property management are present). We will provide the full months rent required per the lease. We will not provide any showing fee monies to this company.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], Property MgContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]4/24/2015 5:43pm [redacted] dba Prince Real Estate spoke with [redacted] to get clarification on what her concerns were and where the communication breakdown was. I do believe that we have come to the understanding that neither of us comprehended what the other one was saying, which hopefully is now understood that the [redacted] didn't want to re-rent the house it is that they don't want to be responsible for the house after the move out even though they are moving out earlier than the end of their lease. They have agreed to pay the rent till the end of their lease which is May 31 2015. [redacted] is to let me know when they are out so that hopefully we will be able to reasonably schedule an inspection and come to amicable terms.
