First, neither Mrs [redacted] nor her husband has, to our knowledge ever spoken or written to anyone at our school about this matterThis is the first we have heard of their issueSecond, at the time of registering their child in the school Mrs** [redacted] signed a document (see attached) stating that she had read and fully understands the terms and agreementsThe relevant paragraphs on pages six (6) and seven (7) in the 2016-Parent Handbook states: School Holidays and Teacher In-Service Days at minimum, the following holidays are observed: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Teacher In-Service Days (one or two per year)To ensure consistent quality programming and high-quality staffing, tuition is due even when children are absentAt times, it might be necessary to close the school campus due to weather conditions, holidays, or unforeseen circumstancesNo portion of tuition is refunded or cancelled in the event of absence, holiday, school closing, withdrawal, or dismissal from the schoolThird, Mrs [redacted] ***’s child attends three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)They do not pay for Monday’s or Friday’sIn her complaint, she cites September 1st a Teacher In-Service DaySeptember 1st is a FridayThe next holiday is Labor Day, a MondayPrior to these we had three holidays in where we were closed July 4th (a Wednesday) Memorial Day (a Monday) and New Year’s Day (a Monday)We understand Mrs [redacted] ***’s request but will respectfully decline the invitation to refund any tuition monies already paid*Please view attached document
