Please make sure you read the agreement for Prime Skin Canada products.
When you sign up for a trial cream, you may not realize that you are signing up for recurring monthly shipment for this product and be charged $119.00 on your credit card. I thought I did my research on this company but obviously not enough. This is what I missed in the agreement:
"When you submit your order, you will receive the Product, subject to a 14-day trial use period, and you will be automatically billed as a subscribing customer unless you cancel. Your 14-day trial use period begins from the date of purchase. If you do not cancel your Subscription by the end of the 14-day trial use period, you will be charged the full retail purchase of the Product and will continue to receive it every month until you cancel. Please see the Cancellation and refunds section below for more details."
I came across a *** Prime Skin Canada ad - a free trial for a skin and eye moisturizing cream. I just had to pay the shipping. There was no information that I could find re length of trial date, assumed 30 days. Price of the product not listed, nor was automatic subscription stated. I have a statement that says Order Placed: November 01, 2018 Order Number: ***. I tried the product, skin is having difficulties, don't want it. I emailed the company on weekend; no response so called this morning. Call quickly answered by a service representative. Explained I didn't want the product and wanted to make sure of no more shipments and that no charges would be made to my credit card. Rep said he would cancel (surprise to me) subscription and that no charges after the Nov. 12th charge would be made. I asked how much was the Nov 12th charge and I was told $115.00. I said no, I do not want my credit card charged, nor do I want the shipment and that I want the $115.00 refunded. He told me not possible because I was beyond the free trial date of 14 days. I argued 14 day trial date was not over. He talked to his supervisor about 3 or 4 times and worked a refund up to 35%. I said I want 100% refund. I was transferred to the supervisor - waited 51 minutes and was disconnected. Called back again. Call not even answered. Called again. Talked to another service rep. Went through problem again. She transferred me and ...I was disconnected. I am frustrated and angry with this company because they are misleading in their advertising and their terms and conditions are so well hidden that you have to be a computer and legal expert to find and read them. *** I have informed the credit card company. Please can you help me with this. Thank you.
