We are sincerely sorry for the problems Ms. [redacted] had in renting one of the properties we manage. It was rented in an as is condition with heavily discounted rent and no deposit required due to the property needing to be cleaned out. Our...
lease also allows for the property to be returned for a full refund within 48 hrs of renting the property no questions asked. However, about a week into her tenancy Ms. [redacted] informed us of the problems with the plumbing and electrical, problems we were unaware of prior to this, we agreed to a full refund immediately. The refund request was sent to our bookeeper and she was sent a refund of %530 on 6/8 in 2 checks that includes the $470 in rent and the $60 (not $120) that she paid in application fees. She was given a full refund of everything paid to and charged by the company. Additionally we also offered to cover the plumbing bill for the property due to the busted pipe however the city in the end did not charge her for it since the leak was discovered. Due to our home office being in a different city than Ms. [redacted], we would usually have someone pick up a check at our office, there was a delay in getting her the refund. We sincerely apologize about the delay in processing the refund and have taken steps to insure it doesn't take that amount of time again. We believe we have addressed all of Ms. [redacted]'s requests and hopefully have resolved the situation to her satisfaction.
