Prestige Painting and Pressure Washing

We hired Prestige Painting and Pressure Washing to paint three rooms, the ceilings, five doors and a dining room cabinet in our home. We dealt with Eli and his business was recommended by the Home Advisor website. We had a verbal agreement to complete the job for a $3200 cash payment. This seemed reasonable however during the walk thru upon job completion we noticed many spots that lacked paint coverage. Eli assured us that he would return to paint the spots needing coverage. Then we noticed peeling paint on the dining room cabinet and some of the doors. My wife phoned Eli and there were 3 times when he was going to come over and he never did. He also never called with any explanation of his no show. Once he was paid he was gone. I hired a painting contractor and it cost $1500 to repair Eli's shoddy job. Eli sprayed the paint and did not properly prepare the surface. It never adhered to the surface hence the peeling. I also paid $1000 for materials and labor to replace the painted doors and hinges.
