I was in a world of hurt before I called Quality Roofing and spoke with Chad [redacted]. My first contractor had taken the insurance money and ran, leaving me with a quarter of the job on my home and very little on the two sheds completed. The house had most of it covered with tarp and underlayment. My sheds were also covered with tarp and underlayment. Chad came out and saw our situation, inspected what had to be done to complete the job and gave us a quote that was very reasonable within a few days. As Chad progressed on the work, I met Zachary who came out to check the work that was being done and ensured any issues were taken care of as quickly as possible. My experience with Quality Roofing was a good one. I now have a completed metal roof on my home and sheds. I would recommend Zack and Quality Roofing for any roofing job. They were very professional, stayed in constant communication and were very reliable. They showed up when they said they would.
One thing I can say about Mediacom is that they are consistent....of terrible service. The reliability of their service is down right disgusting. We used to have a technician that sort of "took care" of Vinton but he left the company because of all of the mis-management and corporate bs that went on in the Cedar Rapids office. Service in Vinton has been terrible - at least once a week it goes of - usually all three services. The phone support is no better; the last time I had an issue I requested a supervisor come out and was told by the operator "of course" they also told me I would receive a credit on my bill since it was going to take 10 days to get a technician to my house and I am sure that others will find to their surprise that neither of these things happened, they will lie to you over the phone with no problem or the dispatch office plainly ignores the requests of the customer. The last straw was the other night - I was talking to my wife (the night before the big fiber cut in CR I might add) and our phone call was dropped - when I tried to call in - I could not even get a rep on the phone. Prices are WAY OUT OF CONTROL SERVICE IS TERRIBLE - then they try to sell their product to businesses - I went to get a cup of coffee today and like many many before they cannot accept credit cards because yet again their Mediacom Service is out. It is almost as if they are begging the City of Vinton to kick them out and start up their own cable utility. Come on Mediacom - wake up and smell the coffee your product is great but CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WHERE THE BREAD IS BUTTERED keep the customers happy...that is all it takes....I would not mind the high price if the service level was better.
Zachary came out and inspected our roof, he was on time, very courteous, and did a thorough inspection. We have used quality roofing in the past, Josh and his wife are very professional, kind, and do a great job! We definitely recommend them to do any job on your roof.
Terrible customer service as usual. Local stations would come and go for several days. Called Mediacom and was told it would be SIX days until they could get someone to look at it. On arrival of tech I explained to him what had happened the last time we had a similar incident. (4 tech visits by Mediacom and one no-show that I had to take time off from work for) that was resolved on the 4th visit when the tech went outside and discovered the problem was in the wiring coming down the pole. I also had to have them back a 5th time to repair the damage they had done on the previous visit. Mediacom attempted to charge me a service call for this final visit I asked that the tech check the outside wire again before he left. He refused to do so. While here the only thing he did was change the ends of several cables that go from a spliter, replace the spliter and replace a transformer. He told me that if that didn't work the next time I would not have to wait so long for a tech to come out again. (obviously either a liar or doesn't know what he was talking about).
Had local stations for less than 24 hours before they went out again. Called Mediacom again...another 6 days before they could have someone available. Different tech this time. Explained problem to him. After doing a quick internal check went to the line coming down the electric pole and found that there was a problem that he would have to get the maintenance people to fix. When he left we had all stations available. Guess the first tech was too lazy to get his ladder off the truck. But like I said, terrible, and unfortunately, normal customer service from Mediacom.
Mediacom's so-called "business" services are among the worst I've ever experienced. We have had more downtime, packet loss, unreliable service, and substandard customer service with Mediacom over the past 6 months than with any other provider I've ever worked with. Their recently launched "gigabit" initiative in the state of Iowa has actually rendered many locations without usable service and sent their technical support and maintenance teams into a scramble to identify and attempt to resolve inadequacies in their equipment.
Attempts to reach points of contact that are actually empowered to resolve said issues are nearly impossible and when reached do not return phone calls when promised, cannot answer questions about when issues will be resolved, and do not resolve issues in a timely manner.
