This will address the complaint sent to you by [redacted], first of all we didn’t install what she originally wanted we gave her better materials then what she originally ordered because she kept changing her mind and continually complained about what she originally ordered so we gave her...
upgraded materials and didn’t charge her any extra for the additional cost of materials because every time she changed her mind on what she wanted we had to wait for the materials to come in which put us behind on the remodel. We are a licensed contractor and everyone that our company uses is a licensed contractor as well as being fully insured. Our sub contractor offered to go back out and change the valve core but she didn’t want him back out to her home to correct the problem which we compensated her for as well. When I called [redacted] I was very sympathetic to her situation even though all of her issues were created by her but nevertheless we agreed to give her $1,500.00 off her contract price not to mention the costly upgrades that we gave her for FREE!!!!! Once we had agreed on a final cost for the project she said she would send a check in the mail, well the check never came and we gave it more then a week to arrive at our office. It became evident that she never sent the check or had any intention of honoring our agreement so we had to threaten to lien her home and legal action to finally get paid, in fact I had to drive to her home to pick up the final payment we agreed upon. This is clearly an attempt to try and discredit our company because we had to force the issue to get paid even after all we did to make her happy which goes to show that there are some people that no matter what you do you just can’t make them happy!!! As a side note we contact all of our customers after we have completed their remodel and we always get high marks on the work we do and since we average over 35 projects a month that says something about how we treat our customers and we enjoy a great deal of repeat business from customers we have done work for in the past. If you any questions about this issue and our response please feel free to give us a call, we would be more then happy to answer any questions you may have. I am rejecting this response because: First of all, nothing was done to make sure I got the bathroom I wanted. I had to repeatedly call the office, the salesman, and the subcontractor to get a response. I have documentation to show that I was repeatedly asking when the subcontractor would be coming and or if he had the supplies that were continually being delayed. The shower rod stated in my contract was never delivered. After weeks of delays, I finally proposed that since I already had one, could they exchange that for a towel rack and a toilet paper roll holder. That was not an upgrade, it was a compromise since the shower rod never arrived.I never received the promised shelves in my shower surround that was part of the contract. The subcontractor never brought them to my home and during our last call, he said he was not coming out to my house again. I had no other option but to go out and buy a shower caddie. You say you gave me a "discount" of $1,000. That is not true. You only gave me a discount of $549.10. The rest of the "credits" were the promised cash discount which is pretty standard, the credit for the lights that I had to go out and buy because the salesman never ordered them, and the shower caddie previously mentioned. The only reason I gave you the final payment was because you threatened to sue me and put a lien on my house. If I would have known my contract with you was not legally binding, according to the DOPL because you were not licensed to engage in business at the time my contract was signed, and you had no legal recourse to sue me or put a lien on my house, I never would have paid you. Finally, the quality is lacking. You used clear caulking so the gaps in the shower surround are obvious. and the cabinet that you installed has already broken because the subcontractor did not install it properly. Also, I had to have a legally, licensed plumber come out because the water in the shower did not get hot and the hot and cold displays were backwards.I don't know what upgrades you are referring. I never got an upgrade.
Sincerely,
