Prestige Auto Carriers agreed to pickup the car at a given price and drop it off, unharmed, at a given time. Maybe I've been reading too many reviews online of other car carriers, but to my amazement, they did exactly what they agreed to. The hand-off process was professional and unrushed, and the price was fair. (I hire them through a broker, 50 States Auto Relocation.) My car was shipped from a dealer in South Florida to near my home in East Tennessee. He couldn't come to my street because my car was just one on of six on a large trailer.
On November 25, 2017 my vehicle was delivered to my residence with damage on the rear left bumper. The scratch was 3 inches long and 1.5cm deep. After realizing the damage I called the owner of the transport company to resolve the issue, but he proceeded to tell me that the damage was not caused by the transport company. I made several attempts to resolve the issue between myself and the owner of the company, but he did not want to resolve the issue. He also falsely accused me of creating the scratch. I will be contacting my attorney at this point to resolve this issue and resolve this issue in small claims court. Any towing company worth their salt would have handled this issue before it had to be escalated. If you don't want a headache I highly suggest that you use another towing company. The original bill of laden clearly shows that there was no damage to the left rear of the bumper during pickup. This company will not assume any liability to their vehicles even if it's their fault. stay away.
When vehicles are delivered, the customers are required to inspect their vehicle and sign the bill of lading where it states that they have received the vehicle in good condition. When customers find damage, they are responsible to write it on the bill of lading at that time. Nothing was noted on the bill of lading, as well as the customer paid the driver at delivery.
Additionally, we do take responsibility for damages that actually occurred on our trucks. The purpose for the bill of lading is to protect all parties involved.
Our cars were picked up and delivered as promised. The staff is polite, kind, and courteous. It's a pleasure doing business with a company that you can rely on.
