I received your complaint and was very upset that you were upset. I reviewed the time line of the mortgage process and the intricacies of the loan and wanted to respond to your complaintTo give an overview of the mortgage process. You made application with the loan originator on
Oct 21, 2016. In September you must have been beginning the dialogue for preapproval and shopping for a home. The actual process for the application began in October. The file was initially reviewed by the processor and submitted into underwriting on Oct 26, 2016. Just days after you made application. So that time line appears to be well within range. The file was reviewed by our USDA underwriter and that process of back and forth with needing additional verifications and documented took over days. The file was suspended for more documentation during that process on Nov 23, and was approved on Dec 1, 2016. Once the file was approved and the details were submitted that were needed for this part approval ( we approve and then once we have everything USDA gets the file and reviews it for approval). We got the USDA approval and were able to clear the file to close on Jan 3, 2017. And you closing date was Jan 5, 2017. I agree that there was a lag time in underwriting and I have spoken to the underwriter and the processor on that time frame. Your file had many nuances and it did take longer to gather the verifications before it could go to USDA. Overall I believe that we did help you obtain a USDA mortgage in an appropriate time frame. I am sorry for any delay but unfortunately there was a delay that you associate with Premium Mortgage not getting things done.
