We paid $3000 for landscaping around our pool. The landscape company owner told me to water the plants “all day” due to Texas heat in July which I did not. I watered 20 mins every evening But in less than 30 days the plants were dying I tried several times to get help from the owner. Finally I dug up a plant that had died and the hole was full of water. The soil is too much clay and holds the water after more than 3 weeks the owner, Travis Dollins finally came to look at things and at that time I already had several plants dead. The ones that were not he told me to trim off dead parts which I did .
This December I again contacted Travis because more plants were dying We had a frost and apparently the plants he planted are not frost tolerant After a few weeks he did come out and he told me his crew would come out and trim dead parts of plants...no one ever did. I also showed him the edging at this time because it was all coming apart. He said someone would come to fix it but it’s been 3 months and I’m still asking him where they are. We also talked about his choice of tiny crushed granite around the pool and no plastic under it . It constantly has weeds and the rock gets in the pool. He said he would have larger rock delivered to fix the issue in March or April but when I asked later he said he would not deliver me any rock because the other landscaping job he had with rock fell through. I told him 20 plants died and he said he would reimburse me that cost. I had contacted a local nursery about his plant choices and they said much of them were wrong for the location he planted them in. I’m still waiting for a reimbursement check from him after several weeks for the dead plants and he reads my Facebook messenger messages but won’t respond. I have chosen to do messages this way because it shows they have been read .
