Sorry for the inconvenience... my brother passed away and I was trying to arrange my trip to his funeral. My colleague was left with a few open-ended requests which she was trying to get clarification on... therefore the additional emails regarding schedule. The temp nanny who we lined up for them was also actively looking for a permanent fulltime position, and was unsure if she would even be able to stay with them for a week, and advised us that the distance was an issue for her. I sent a mass email to dozens of current clients and nannies at that time notifying them of the tragic loss in my family, and I really don't know if [redacted]'s email was in that notification. I thought it was. The communication breakdown was due to my leaving town suddenly, and I credited back her membership as soon as I did a billing on February 2. My grief definitely interfered with my response, and I apologize to [redacted] that she felt let down. I honestly thought she was included in that email that I was leaving town immediately. We do everything we can to accommodate parents, whether they're new or experienced. I hope that she finds it in her heart to forgive me that I dropped the ball on her needs.
