I would like to update and correct some info the above complaint
The contract in dispute was not to start until June of and due to membership freezes I placed on it, it was not to expire until 1/**/I am attaching an email from the membership ***stating as such
Also I did not pay with a check as complaint states but a visa cardSee attached

The member cancelation notice was received by our billing company, [redacted], on 5/22/15. I have refunded the members enhancement fee of $19.98 that was charged on 7/1/15. The member is set to cancel on 7/18/15.

After reviewing [redacted]'s membership he is indeed correct in the fact that the membership obligation expires in September of 2017. The membership does have an auto roll over but does not roll over for another year just month to month. I do apologize he was given the wrong information, he signed up...

over a year ago and back then we renewed members month to month and not yearly. I will process his cancellation requested dated October 1st. and refund his last full payment in November. The person who was helping him read the contract by error but of course we will take care of this right away. I just called [redacted] myself and there was no answer but I am handling this right now.

Review: I was a gym member at King on 5th Total Fitness for a little over a month around in the year 2012. One evening around a month into my membership I arrived at Total Fitness to use the facility. Protocol is to "scan in" at the front desk. Upon scanning my fab, the front desk attendant notified me I would not be allowed to use the gym that evening because I had past due gym expenses. This came to my surprise, as when I registered for the membership, I set up direct withdrawal transfers through my bank. I was not allowed to use the facility and was told to contact the owner. I did so, and upon further review it was Total Fitness' conclusion that my direct deposit/withdrawal banking information was either taken down or entered into their system incorrectly. I was told the past due expenses would be forgotten, and that I could come in and re-up my membership with the proper information, which I declined to do. Over a year later, after receiving NO NOTIFICATIONS whatsoever, I was contacted by a debt collection agency who had been hired by Total Fitness. Total Fitness was seeking the full membership contract (keep in mind I used their facility less than 15 times in 1 month period) as well as late penalty fees. Never once did I get a phone call, never once did I get any mail notifications that I had an outstanding debt with them. This is completely preposterous. I dont even know how this "business" came up with the figure it is charging me for. I still to this day have received no bill from total fitness, only threats against my credit profile via a debt collection agencyDesired Settlement: Not only do I want a complete and total exoneration of my past dues, I would like to see them be penalized for their complete and total lack of regard when handling customers claims.

Review: I contacted the company on December 12th, 2013, in reference to membership cancellation per my request. I stated that my membership was to be cancelled as of January 1, 2014. I stated that if any paperwork needed to be signed that the company should contact me. I never heard back from the company. As of today, January 2, 2014, the company still has not responded nor have the cancelled my membership. In fact, the company is continuing to withdraw funds from my bank account. I have sent the company a second correspondence in relation to this issue (Revdex.com reference #[redacted] with no response once again. It seems that this company is very uncooperative with people who wish to cancel their membership.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of membership as of January 1, 2014, and a refund of the funds withdrawn from my account on January 2, 2014, in the amount of $29.00.

In regards to my complaint against Premier Fitness, I have not heard from the business, and I am not satisfied with the companies efforts to resolve this matter. They have done nothing to help resolve this issue at all. So far they have decided to ignore my complaint.

Review: The gym that I belonged to for twelve years, Premier Fitness, in Nanuet New York, closed on January 24, 2014. No notice was given to its members prior to its closing. To date I have not received an email, phone call or letter stating that the gym was closed and how I will be refunded for the unused portion of my contract.

Premier Fitness encouraged its members to sign annual contracts with “Buy one year get one free (BOGO)” and “Buy one year get six months free” contracts only months before it closed its doors. I believe all of us who signed a contract were “robbed”; the owners knew they would not provide what they charged us for.

My Membership Agreement: Paid $797 on 9/**/13 for 2 years of membership (BOGO)

I called Premier Fitness many times but did not receive an answer. I went to the gym and found the doors locked and a sign posted. I sent a letter both by US mail and email to Premier Fitness and am awaiting a response but am not hopeful that I will get one.Desired Settlement: I am writing to the Revdex.com to request help or advice on how to get a refund for the unused portion of my gym contract which is in excess of $500. Thank you, in advance, for any help you can provide.

Review: Signed a 2 year contract for both myself and my husband in November only to go to the gym today and find a sign on the door saying they are 'closing their doors'. They state that the memberships will be honored at a 'local' gym with no mention of a business name. We both paid a sign up fee and was told our contract came with 3 free months per person to be given for the last three months of the contract. We respectfully request these months be given back to us as well as the down payments.Desired Settlement: We respectfully request the three free months be given back to us as well as the down payments.
