On March 4, 2013 Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] purchased a 2004 [redacted] with 118,167 miles. They also purchased a gap insurance policy and a 2 year service contract from [redacted]. We did our routine service inspection on the vehicle and we did not find any issues that were in need...
of replacement at the time of the sale so it did qualify for the 2 year service contract. The sales man that worked with the [redacted] is a 70 year old retired gentleman who works only a few days per month to help us out and give himself some time out of the house. He is not money motivated and certainly would not explain to any customer that a 10 year old vehicle with well over 100k miles would get a 100% "bumper to bumper" warranty, I do not believe any such coverage even exists. As the manager I have never been notified that the [redacted] were having any problems with their truck or the warranty company. The warranty contract that they signed and were given a copy of very clearly lists every part that is covered on the front page of the contract. If [redacted] changed their coverages on their newer contracts we can not help that. They are their own company and are required to cover the items on the contract that was sold on March 4, 2013. As per the complaint the rack and pinion, rear power window motor, front wheel bearing, are all covered items and should have been covered with a $100 deductible. If we had been contacted we would have helped get the repairs covered and repaired as inexpensively and as quickly as possible. It has been 19 months since we have seen or heard from the [redacted] until today. We certainly want our customers to be happy and enjoy their vehicles. All We can do is to ask our customers to call us and ask for some help before filing a complaint and making accusations about our company, we strive very hard to help our customers when given an opportunity to do so. I believe the problem is more with the warranty company than with what we did, if given the chance we can get any covered repairs done under the warranty and any other repairs done at our dealer cost to try to help.
Sincerely
[redacted]
