Preferred Client Services Reviews (67)

We got a letter in the mail offering a free tablet. My husband signed us up. I saw all the bad reviews on here but still decided to give it a shot since no one seemed to have a ligitament review. So here's what happened. We arrived and filled out some basic paperwork. We were sat in a room with about 10 other people and listened to a sales pitch for a little over an hour. They were tyring to sell us a membership to a vacation club. The cost is $9K one time fee to join. (Available in payments) plus $400 a year to keep it activated plus $189/week to stay anywhere in the world at their resorts. They push the $189/week and of course hold the rest of the costs until the last minute. After the presentation, your taken to a cubical farm and sat one on one with a sales person that trys to explain why its'a great deal. We told them we were not interested twice. He got his boss, who tried to explain it again to us and then cut the $9K fee down to about $3K. At the 90 minute mark I said... you know what I want... I just want to leave now. They were a little shocked but were ok with it. They ended the sales push. They gave us a brand new (cheap) tablet, a voucher for a 3 day/2 night vacation and a vouchure for $100 free gift card for [redacted] They did everything they said they would do in the advertisement. If your up for sitting there for 90 minutes, there is no cost to you other than your time and the little gifts were fairly nice. The location we went to was located at [redacted] and [redacted] road in [redacted]. I think the company is actually Global vacations. It might be a good deal for someone planning to vacation 2 X a year to resorts and has that kind of money for stuff like this. If I had a friend with an offer like this I would tell them to go but not to buy. I dont think it is fair for a lot of the reviews to be posted as negative when they didn't even go to the presentation or entertain the offer.

Adding my experience to the list! I received the same letter today, promising a "FREE Android Tablet Computer", at "no obligation". Seemed fishy right away - especially as the letterhead, signature and survey all share the address: "Preferred Client Services, 3949 Sparks Drive SE, Suite 200, Grand Rapids, MI 49546". (I live within an hour's drive from Grand Rapids.) However, the postmark on the envelope was from Dallas, Texas! Now, that's a fancy trick. Feasibly, they can get away with their wording because they state I'm under no obligation "to pay, purchase or subscribe to anything". Having listed the things I'm NOT obligated to do, they don't mention attending a long seminar for their product. It's in the wording. But it's my opinion, if you have to be slippery in your wording in order to do business, I'm not your customer. After all, what else would they be slippery about later on? Buyer beware!

The woman asked for my income and age and tried to set a date for pickup 2 months from now. When I said we would be in Florida she quickly said that was all that was available and good bye.
So fishy, I'm glad I read other reviews first. Total scam, don't bother.

So.... I get a letter from Preferred Client Services, with a Texas post mark, and letter head claiming they are in Livonia on 7 mile road, it already feels like a scam, so I checked here, and found what I expected to find......

Received letter 2-5-16 from Preferred Client Services. Thanks to all who have written in and warned the rest of us. Thanks to Revdex.com for watching out for us.

I received a letter in the mail, hand written envelope from [redacted] but the letter states they are in [redacted]. When I tried to contact them via email through their website you can only send it if you agree to allow them to contact you through your contact information which includes your email. If you unselect the agreement it won't send your message. Shady

Thanks to everyone for writing in so others don't waste their time. I did find a use for this letter however. I handed it to each of my children, asking them if it was a good idea. Then I had them research the internet. Without people writing in like you and the Revdex.com, it would be hard to teach this lesson.

I too noticed the mailing was from Texas and the business was in Grand Rapids, MI. The whole thing sounded fishy to me also. Thanks too all who submitted their reviews and confirming my suspicions.

Same letter. My question is: did anyone actually sit through the presentation and get a tablet at the end? 90 of zoning out and snickering to myself about their sales pitch might be worth a free tablet.

I just went to the one in Grand Rapids,Mi.. It was about 90 mins.. No real hard sell. No need to by now. I received the Amazon Fire and gift cards. Overall very satisfied. Just as written in the letter.

This company "Preferred Client Services" sent me a phoney letter stated I won a Android Tablet for FREE! What a JOKE!!! I hope others look into this company before failling for there lie of a letter, that looked so personable as well :(

I recieved this letter as well, and opened it. Right away, I realized its a scam. Thank you Revdex.com, and everyone else for the warnings!

Same letter, DO NOT respond it's a scam!

Thank you Revdex.com.

Thank you Revdex.com for clearly posting these negative reviews with a simple google search on Preferred Client Services. I didn't have to waste my time trying to figure out if this was for real or not. No where on the letter does it say anything about a time share. (There's always a catch!) Young and old....beware!

Like many others, I received a a mysterious letter, postmarked from Dallas, TX, without any return address on it. Inside was a form letter with a letterhead from PCS ,with a Grand Rapids address, inviting me to pick up a free Android tablet. All that was requested was that I fill out the enclosed survey form re: the tablet. The letter was hand-addressed. Everything seemed fishy. So I Googled PCS and found out what this was all about. Into the trash it goes.

But, there are many people who are not savvy, possibly elderly, who will fall for this scam. They may be suckered into buying a timeshare. These are the people, the less-savvy, that are being targeted.

Got a letter in the mail today glad I googled them. And this cme up throwing my letter away since it is postmarked from Dallas and the company address is suposably in grand rapids michigan

Yep..Just as I suspected when I opened the letter..SCAM...I too noticed that it was postmarked from Texas (red flag)and figured it was a car dealership offering to "buy" my car( if I buy a new one from them) I get those once in a while. But opened it anyway and first thing I noticed was that it was out of Grand Rapids( red flag) then it said all I had to do was " pick it up" ( red flag). If it was truly a market test for a tablet they would just send it to you! With all the red flags flying around I thought I would come here to see what customers were saying about this company...no need to say more.. Thanks for everyone coming and posting their reviews!!!!

Thank you all for confirming my hunch that this was a scam before wasting any time calling these people. SO glad I googled first!

They sent out a deceptive letter for a free tablet. Makes it sound like they are doing consumer testing, etc., but they really want to just get you in for a time share type presentation. of course they don't call it a time share, but that's the type of thing it is.

This is a SCAM! Offering a free tablet.
