An error in billing occurred when our field
tech failed to remove incremental billing elements for work that was not
performed. Once identified, these
charges were removed from the customer bill with our apologies. (Note: We have reviewed billing to avert any such similar errors in...
the future.) All other
charges were appropriate in accordance with industry standard pricing and
reviewed and approved by the customer's insurance carrier for all work
performed. All billing information is sent directly to
the insurance company and subsequently sent to the customer when finalized upon
request. Additionally, PCR addressed the customer’s
specific questions with a clearly detailed explanation of questioned charges
and credits. During our investigation, we were informed
that the customer’s cancellation was not related to work performed by PCR and
that any potential loss of income should be addressed with the insurance
carrier if applicable based on policy. Preferred Choice Restoration staff and management
have made numerous calls and communications prior to and after the Revdex.com complaint
with no response from the customer. We are
happy to resolve this matter in it's entirety if only the customer would respond.
The entire bill is $7,966.94, less
billing error credit of $545.23. Amount
due is $7,421.41 (Cust Bal. $6,846.66 +
pending check endorsement (customer) of insurance check of $574.75.)

Review: I am concerned about an attempt to over-bill our insurance company for services not rendered. Services were rendered through an insurance claim in June/July 2015, but the bill far exceeded services rendered. Company did not want to release invoice to us, but sent directly to insurance for payment. We were dropped by the insurance company as a result of the excessive claim. A single check was mailed to us to endorse to vendor once we agree on their accurate fees.
Billing office has failed to acknowledge the fraudulent charges, though the original technician admitted that the paperwork was no accurate.
We have been impacted negatively by the loss of insurance, followed by a loss of income for inability to use damaged flooded space for weeks. We were subsequently billed over $2,000 by our lender for being dropped from the previous insurance company.Desired Settlement: Preferred Choice will acknowledge this inappropriate business action. We will settle for the corrected amount of their bill for actual services rendered, minus the damages caused by their attempted fraud.
