On May 18, *** Window & Kitchen/***ick Construction installed a screen door that they repaired and added caulking to the screen door tracking. I paid $70 for the service, $35 for the screen door and $35 to repair the tracking. I left the screen door open for a few days, as instructed. A few days later, I noticed the caulking did not hold the tracking in place and contacted the company. On May 23, I spoke with owner *** (who also installed the door and added the caulking). He told me he would come by in a few days. On June 1 when I hadn't heard from or seen ***, I again called the company and spoke with his longtime office manager ***. She told me she would have *** contact me. Again, I didn't hear from or see ***. On June 6, I left a voice message and sent a message via their website. I still didn't hear from them. On June 8, I sent another message via their website, stating if I didn't hear from them by 3 PM June 11, I would be forced to take further action.
Dear ***,
We will be mailing your check back, since we haven't deposited it yet, as a total refund. I expressed to you from the beginning that we are extremely busy and that this would be a job that we would have to squeeze in somehow. Furthermore, I went out of my way and went to your house on my own time to accommodate you.
