We were called to the customers house on December 20th for a broken cable, when he called the customer was informed per our recording that there was a 49.95 service fee for us to come out. When our technician was at the house he explained how he could take care of his broken cable and our price. The customer did not want to pay our prices and refused service, we then collected our 49.95 service fee for driving out to his home. During this appointment he was verbally given our free safety check list per our web site [redacted]. The customer later, on 12/22/14, requested the free safety inspection in writing, which was emailed on 12/23/14 at 8:40 AM per our email system to his Gmail account. Also attached to this response. The safety check list is a free service, the 49.95 is for us to come out to his house. Thank you.

Response:
Please note the attached invoice. Invoice clearly itemizes charge for 49.95 clearly in consideration for 25 point inspection, which I maintain was not performed, nor was the inspection verbally relayed at the time of service call. I called to complain the next day and the technician advised me that the charge, as stated in their response to the Revdex.com, was in fact a charge for them having to drive to my house. This is not what the invoice indicates. Basically, Precision Garage Door charged me nearly $50 to entertain their sales pitch. Furthermore, [redacted], a competitor garage door company, was able to actually service my garage door for one third of the price quoted by Precision, to my satisfaction. I believe Precision is engaging in deceptive bait and switch sales tactics, where, in this instance, they were unwilling to "service" the door, only proposing a full and entire replacement at considerable cost, and charging me 49.95 under the false pretense of servicing a malfunctioning garage door. In my opinion, they are taking unfair advantage of an honest public with deceptive business practices. I did not actually receive the fabricated, incomplete, written 25 point inspection until after I complained directly to the technician that visited my home. He also stated that he was the manager and maintained that my complaint would not be able to be escalated any further within the organization. I am requesting a full refund as resolution to this complaint.

I will send him back his money
Review: We had a spring break on our garage door and needed repair. We called Precision Garage Doors since it was the number on our garage wall that installed the door. The operator was pleasant and explained there was a $49.95 service call to come out. That would make sense if they intended to reasonably repair the springs however when the technician came out he immediately went into a hard sell with out so much as looking at the door. From the middle of my garage he made several costly assesments that indicated several red flags to me as a consumer. I went in and quickly checked the internet for alternative prices and companies while he wrote up the estimate. I then told him I did not want him to proceed since he was up selling me and talking down to me. He replied that he still needed to collect his $49.95 for coming out. This is extortion! They don't estimate any cost of repairs when you make the appointment but upon arrival they start jacking up prices left and right - then when you decline to use them, they insist on the "service" call fee. There was NO service completed. It was a $50 guarantee for them. If they come out and I believe all the garbage he was telling me then they make $100's on me but if I decline they still walk away with at least $50. Essentially I paid them to con me. Unbelievable!!Desired Settlement: I had quotes from 2 other companies that did subscribe to ruthless business tactics. I used one that was recommend from a friend and was VERY HAPPY. I gave him a copy of the Precision invoice when he completed the job so he could compare what I was told. Precision Garage Door is a hustle and I should not have to pay for unethical, fraudulent business practices! I tried to calthe company before the technician left my house but of course the manager was on another line and couldn't talk to me.

Response:
We have communicated with this customer via email and have apologized for the technicians approach. Having reviewed the technicians report on this customers door system, there are
several issues with the door that will need to be addressed. We appreciate that the customer did not want to address those at the time and again apologize for the technicians' poor communications.
While service fees are standard in our industry - and are ment only to over the initial evaluation, we will gladly refund the $49.95 fee.

Response:
The work that I requested was completed by another company and the response from the Precision Garage Door stating there were other issues with the door/opener are not true. The work was assessed by 2 other companies and did not match what the Precision Garage Door service tech quoted and estimates were financially out of line with industry standards.
I will accept their apology with a full refund for the fraudulent sales claims made by the service technician. I expect that refund will be sent to me no later than Friday August 2nd. This file is not closed until the money is refunded.

When our company received the complaint from [redacted], I attempted to respond and the Revdex.com site would not accept the response through the computer. I made several attempts and did not try any further when we were told by the claimant that she would contact Revdex.com to remove the complaint. The day and time the complaint was filed, our salesman was at the home of the [redacted]s. The situation with their job was not a warranty issue. There had been a storm that caused the damage and therefore no warranty coverage. This information had been relayed to the customer and we were then asked to come give an estimate on the damage as a new project. They were put on the salesman schedule and he was at their home the morning of the date the claim was filed. [redacted] has told the salesman she would contact Revdex.com to have the complaint removed.

We called Precision Garage Doors because we were having issues with our old opener. The service tech (Cody) was very knowledgeable and courteous, he installed 2 garage doors openers in a short time with a high degree of perfection. We would highly recommend this company for any garage door services needed.
