I ordered a map from Prairie Mapping Services on July 28/14 and was quoted a price of $28.76 for the map, taxes and postage plus a 3 week delivery. I sent them back a confirmation email saying that the price was okay. When the map arrived the invoice said my [redacted] was charged $43.18 plus the map took 8 weeks to arrive. I returned the map and asked for a refund because the cost was not what I agreed to nor did they inform me about the price difference. Prairie Mapping Services emailed me back saying they do not give refunds.Product_Or_Service: MapDesired SettlementI would like a total refund because I did not agree to the price they actually charged me for the map. I agreed to the price of $28.76. They charged me $43.18 and did not notify me of the price difference.Business Response [redacted] Yes, there was much delay on this order. We did quote that it could take up to a 3 week time period but unfortunately we did not receive the shipment until September 18/2014 which came directly from the RM office. [redacted] placed her order with Prairie Mapping Services on July 28/2014. I did indicate that 3 weeks was an estimate but she was dealing with specific timelines that we were not made aware of resulting in her receiving the map when it was no longer needed. Over the order process we kept in contact with her, upon receipt she was contacted by phone to inform her that the map was on its way. Upon her receipt of the map she then contacted our office indicating she no longer required it. She then expressed her dissatisfaction with the time along with the additional shipping charges. I had indicated to her that the policy of the mapping business was a "no refund policy" unless it was absolutely obvious that the business was not being taken advantage of. Our shipment policy to customers outside of Saskatchewan is by [redacted], being new to the organization at the time of this order I had neglected to inform her of this policy therefore this is where she incurred the additional charges that did not match up to the amount debited to her credit card. Since our last contact with Ms. [redacted] and her expressing her circumstances the business issued her a full refund. [redacted]
