I joined Acellus online homeschool in February 2018. When I joined, there were two separate modes: homeschool and tutor mode. They were apparently merged around April 2018 and the announcement touted the fact that the price would remain the same despite the merge and name change. (I'm unsure of when the name change and merge took place because it was not communicated to me via email, only a series of confusing and conflicting Facebook posts.)
In July 2018, I received an email notifying me that the price for the service would change from $99/year to $250/year. Since I joined, there have been changes to the name and format of the school (from home and tutor being separate to one merged platform); and massive changes to the pricing, both monthly and annually; and changes to the available courses.
I paid for one year of one service and part way through that year, it changed massively and did not offer current subscribers any recourse. We discontinued use of the program when these changes were made, in June 2018. I contacted the company to express my dissatisfaction with the changes and request a pro-rated refund; it was denied.

There may be confusion because the business changes names so frequently. Acellus ID: 1001002185. I've also attached a screenshot of my confirmation. Considering I've been in contact with the company about this issue via the email address I used for the complaint, I'm sure they could have looked up my student if they were so inclined.
