[redacted] Please accept our response to ID # [redacted] : I visited with the patient on 08/20/ I apologized to her and explained that her account was sent in error to the collection agency due to a malfunction within our billing system Per the billing office, when the patient called our billing office on 08/12/2014, her account was removed from the collection agency listing and was purged from the collection agency’s roster on 08/13/ In the meantime, the patient has paid her outstanding bill in full I conveyed to her our appreciation for the payment and our understanding of her frustration In response to the patient’s concern about this incident affecting her credit rating, I called the billing office to make sure the collection agency has not notified the credit bureaus of this Our billing specialist assured me that credit bureaus are not notified for at least days after collection agencies receive the account I called the patient and informed her of this I also suggested she might check with the credit bureaus to make sure there are no erroneous entries on her credit rating due to this particular billing issue I also told her to contact me if such an erroneous entry did appear and we would contact the collection agency and credit bureaus on her behalf to resolve this issue I gave her my contact information should she need it in the future Patient expressed her appreciation for my phone calls and explanations [redacted] Medical Staff Coordinator QI Assistant Powell Valley Healthcare Avenue H Powell, WY [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

Per the billing office, when the patient called our billing office on 08/12/2014, her account was removed from the collection agency listing and was purged from the collection agency’s roster on 08/13/2014.
In the meantime, the patient has paid her outstanding bill in full. I conveyed to her our appreciation for the payment and our understanding of her frustration.
In response to the patient’s concern about this incident affecting her credit rating, I called the billing office to make sure the collection agency has not notified the credit bureaus of this. Our billing specialist assured me that credit bureaus are not notified for at least 30 days after collection agencies receive the account. I called the patient and informed her of this. I also suggested she might check with the credit bureaus to make sure there are no erroneous entries on her credit rating due to this particular billing issue. I also told her to contact me if such an erroneous entry did appear and we would contact the collection agency and credit bureaus on her behalf to resolve this issue. I gave her my contact information should she need it in the future. Patient expressed her appreciation for my phone calls and explanations.
