Review: Contractor was hired to paint exterior trim on the back part of the house. He presented himself as a professional painter/contractor. Contractor did not prime surface for painting. Consequently, the paint immediately started to peel. The job is not acceptable and the contractor has not fulfilled his obligation to perform a proper job. He acknowledged that he did not prep the surface as he should have, but has not come back to strip and repaint and is not acknowledging phone calls of emails.Desired Settlement: As I now realize that the contractor is not knowledgeable nor competent to do the work he said he would, and is not communicating with us, We feel we are entitled to restitution for the money we paid him and the cost to correct his mistake. We will have to hire someone competent to strip the paint that is still there and repaint according to proper procedure.
