hello, I wanted to add more info to the complaint. I spoke to the former Elite Booster Club treasurer, she told me that the money from the garage sale was transferred into each individual acct not through the booster club. & that if [redacted] had a credit to her acct, it would have to be ok'd to...
be transferred out of her acct, by [redacted]. So, I have heard it both ways from [redacted]. She originally told me that the money was deposited into [redacted]'s acct and could be used towards anything at the gym/cheer classes/equipment, (I have an email to prove this) Now, today [redacted] told me the money was for Booster Club. Which is it? because the booster club money cannot be used for gym/cheer classes/equipment, it is used for competitive teams, in which case [redacted] was not on a team. Thank you very much for your help.I am not the 1st person to be ripped off by [redacted]. my friend lost over $250 due to [redacted]'s lack of business ethics & knowledge.
The parents of the booster club set up Fundraisers to benefit the kids on the cheer and gymnastics team. The fundraiser was advertised to benefit the Elite Central cheer and gymnastics team and team members. The garage sale advertised to people that the money was benefiting the team members of the gym. Parents on the team were invited. Because this child was currently on the team, she was able to participate. No booster club funds are given back to parents when they leave. Instead they are left for other team members to use. I did not run this garage sale (parents of the booster club did) but our booster club does so and sets rules for members to use their funds at the gym and no refunds are given should a child quit the team, rather the funds are forfitted back to the booster club. This was not a garage sale for any individual to pocket money and I have no idea why anyone would think that when all advertising and signs indicated it benefitted the organization. This sale took place over a year ago at which time the individual decided not to join the team. Fundraising is used to help support those kids that struggle to pay bills for the competitive cheer or gymnastics season.
