Review: I have been going to Potomac Bakery for many,many years. Never once did I buy anything I did not enjoy. This year I ordered 3 fruit cakes because they were so delicious las year.They started baking them the Friday before Christmas. I picked my order up Saturday morning at 7:15am. They were $8.95 each, I believe. On the following Monday(before X-mas) I called the bakery because the fruitcake was terrible. It was all whole cherries with a few pecan halves on the top. There was no cake,just something of a thick consistency that tasted like brown sugar. The woman that answered the phone apologized and said she would let the person that made them know. My sister who lives in KY called me after x-mas and said she could not eat her fruitcake. She said "it was terrible this year." She insisted I call and at least get a store credit as I was out almost $27. I called again and asked to speak to the manager([redacted]?). She said I had to bring the fruitcake in. I asked if I was the only one to complain. She replied," they won't be making them next year and they only made one batch this year."My order should have been on record as I called for the refund only a week after I picked them up.Desired Settlement: Refund or credit for the $26 plus I paid for the 3 fruitcakes.
