I do not dispute that Ms*** had mechanical issues with her vehicleI can not speak of what or why another dealership had her vehicle for 4-weeks but I will take her at her word for the explanation*** *** is a reputable dealership. I understand that a newly purchased vehicle
with a mechanical issue is a huge issue to customerHowever in dealing with many hundreds of vehicles per year, we see that cars are machines and do at times require repair, even sometimes shortly after being purchasedWe try to fix them quickly so that we can keep customers as happy as possible, with minimal downtime and expense to themIt's in everybody's best interest. Ms*** came back into our store a few weeks back to try to trade the Renegade inMy sales managers filled me in her experience and I instructed them to get aggressive as possible with trade value to try to help make up for her inconvenience prior. After she was here, I reached out to see how everything was goingI was glad she came back to give us another chance but more importantly, I wanted to make sure her original issue was fixed! In her response, there wasn't really a mention of it, so I had to assume it was. I understand her frustration, but I disagree that we sold her a "lemon"There was a mechanical issueThe repairs were covered at little to no cost to the customer, and to my knowledge, the problem has been fixedIf it hasn't, I would be interested in going into the repair history of this vehicle and making contact with the previous repair facility if we were do dive deeper into this. After consulting my staff, I am confident we put our best foot forward trying to trade her out of the vehicle last monthCurrently, I have used Renegades on my lot and more available in our dealer group so I am not interested in buying hers. With that being said, I realized *** time is valuable and I appreciate thatWe would be willing to issue her a check for $1,AND $to reimburse for the oil change she had to pay for prematurely.
