There was no refusal to communicate only a combination of too many calls and not enough time to return them all. The phones at the company, sales, service and my cell phone received a multitude of calls requesting installation information. While the staff was on the phone with customers, the other lines were going to the answering machine. By the time the staff took all the messages of one day, the day was done. The next morning, there were additional messages to record; calls taken …this continued repeatedly The phone provider for the Brussels area limits how many messages can be left (30); therefore, with the multitude of calls coming into Port-A-Pier, the voice mailbox was easily filled. In one day alone customers were spoken to and messages recorded The staff was overwhelmed and some quit I, myself, was part of a crew doing installations during the week and on weekends so my phone was not accessible as I am notorious at having it fall in the water. We are still hiring and training our service crew to complete the installs. At the beginning of August we will start contacting customers for scheduling the removals so the overwhelming need to call us is minimized. The current staff is more than willing to go the extra mile to meet our customer needs. As the customer, you have the privilege of selecting who you want to service your installation and removal needs. Enjoy your pier and the season. Rick Paulson

Your response does not address your refusal to communicate with me. My complaint emphasized that. If you had kept me informed in response to my requests for service from you, I believe I would have been understanding of your problems with hiring and retention of employees. By not communicating you have lost us as customers. If others have had the same experience as I did, It may be that soon you will not need to employee as large a crew, thereby solving your hiring and retention problem. [redacted]
