Review: Porreco Nissan had a 2009 [redacted] on the internet for around 8200 dollars. I applied for credit on Saturday the 16th and was approved on Tuesday the 19th. [redacted] from Finance called me that day and told me he needed a deposit of $100.00 to hold the car until our appointment on Thursday the 21st at 200 pm. I gave him my credit card number over the phone for the deposit to hold the car and it was immediately withdrawn from my account. Wednesday, Nov. 20th, I received a call from my salesman, [redacted] that the car was getting cleaned and detailed for me to pick up on Thursday, Nov 21 at 2pm. Later in the day Wednesday, [redacted] called me again and told me the car was sold to someone else. So in the meantime, I sold my only other form of transportation. As you may know, I was very angry that this happened and the way it was handled. It was very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: Would like a similar car for the same amount as the car that was taken from me..

Response:
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above referenced complaint.
Unfortunately. Mr. [redacted] is correct in that two salespersons had almost
simultaneously taken deposits for the 2009 [redacted] in our inventory. Upon discovering that
the car had been delivered, Mr. [redacted] was contacted and his deposit has been refunded to his
credit card.
Our Sales Managers, [redacted] and [redacted] teleconferenced Mr. [redacted],
apologized, and offered to provide assistance to purchase a different vehicle. Initially, Mr
[redacted] said he didn’t want to look at any other vehicles, but then called back to see if a
comparable vehicle was available. Although we did not have another pre-owned [redacted] in
our inventory, we had a [redacted] available.
Mr. [redacted] advised that his daughter drives a [redacted] and that he needed more room for
his tools and declined our assistance.
Our Sales Managers have Mr. [redacted]’s name on a waiting list, should another
preowned[redacted], in the approximately $8,200 price range, be acquired into our inventory.
Sincerely,
Corporate Secretary
