We have been customers of Porco Energy for over 15 plus years. The quality of services is excellent....from the office staff who remember our particulars to one of our regular service techs Joe H[redacted]. We are so comfortable with their knowledge of safety, repair and the market...we wouldn't even think of dealing with anyone else.
Review: This company has hidden billing practices. Earlier this year they removed a Propane Tank that was completely full and paid for by Me, from my property. I originally had two tanks, but they verbally informed me (not in any contract I had signed with them) that these two tanks carried a minimum billing clause. I then agreed with them, to reduce my tanks to 1, so that this hidden minimum billing issue would be removed and this was all agreed to in writing with their manager via e-mail and phone. We had bilaterally agreed that there would be no more minimum billing, and there was nothing in writing stating the contrary. I use the gas strictly as a back-up option (since I have wood stoves, solar etc..). Nonetheless I later came to find out that even down to one tank, they came back with the same shoddy and hidden practice-policies of minimum billing that I had resolved with them and that I was not told would continue. After trying to get this resolved with them, they came to my property while I was away and removed the tank, the problem was that the tank was full, since I had not used any of the gas and had paid approximately $484.00 the last time it was delivered. They did not issue me a credit or a check for the gas that I had paid them previously and I have in numerous occasions after this occurrence tried to get this resolved with them, to no avail.Desired Settlement: I need to get the money back for the gas I purchased from them, but did not used and lost when they took the tank. The tank was full as my boiler was not working for some time. or maybe they provide me with a tank of similar capacity with the money they took from me, which I can then use and fill whenever I want; and don't have to deal with their hidden minimum billing practices.

Response:
Response to complaint.
There are no hidden minimum use fees as we have had one since the companies inception. In addition every customer is sent a fee schedule with their welcome packet. Unfortunately equipment and manpower are expensive and costs do incur even on equipment
that does not get used. The agreements made by our former employee, [redacted] indicate the charge was removed for that year, not forever.
In an effort to resolve this we will refund the propane from the tank that was picked up on February **, 2013. That is 85.2 gallons @$2.86995 per gallon for a total of $244.52 and remove all remaining minimum use fees.
