The complained contacted Pool Tron on Friday the 18th of September 2015 requesting a service call be performed at xx [redacted] Chesterfield, MO. XXXXX. We sent a service technician that day and per the complained request we contacted him...

while in route. Our technician met The complained on site and corrected the pump O-ring issue and disassembled the D.E. filter and inspected the filter which needed replacement grids, informed The complained of this fact and quoted $400.00 in parts would be necessary (no quote on labor was given) at that time the ok to proceed was given. Pool Tron's technician located the parts and picked them up for installation the following day.
Saturday (no extra labor charge for weekend call) the 20th of September 2015, the same technician returned to [redacted] Chesterfield, MO. XXXXX. Replaced and rebuilt the D.E. filter grids reassembled the filter completely, replaced the air relief assembly and pressure gauge (authorized by The complained as an extra).
The billing was as follows;
9/18/15
1.5 hrs. @$150.00 per hr. Service call hours to inspect system and retrieve parts for filter.....................................$225.00 (Labor)
9/20/15
2.0hrs @$150.00 per hr. Service call hours to rebuild grid system for d.e. filter cartridge, change out grids, assemble element and install, start up and test all.........................................$300.00 (Labor)

As you can see in the above breakdown, The complained was NOT charged 7hrs of labor but 3.5hrs of which I credited 1.0hr in order to foster no ill feelings and hopefully develop a good working relationship with The complained. The grid system and air relief was $349.94 that is under the quoted price of $400.00, the D.E. powder and gauge were separate items from the quote.
Pool Tron feels that the bill is in line with the quote having kept The complained informed of the process and parts installed having already giving a credit (not admitting over charging but to be fair). We feel no other credits should be issued and The complained was treated fairly and honestly.
