Pool Builders

We built the [redacted] a nearly identical pool to the one we contracted to build in December, 2014 in 2011.  I told the [redacted] that the pool would take several months to build as noted on the contract.  We expected to get more work done on the project than actually was done...

during the winter/spring months due to one of the coldest winters on record and one of the rainiest springs on record as well.  They gave me $[redacted] for a deposit.  I do not give any dates for completion of any task or job and never have in 44 years of doing business.  The [redacted] have a contract with me (Pool Builders) that includes doing the concrete walkways and patio around the pool.  They decided to have any outside contractor to do that work hoping to save several thousand dollars.  These people never bothered to do the required bonding work and/or call for the required county inspections.  I explained to the [redacted] they were voiding our contract by hiring others to do work contracted with (Pool Builders) me to be done.  I further explained I would not take any responsibility of work done by others especially work I had never seen or approved.  I urged Mrs. [redacted] to stop all progress but she would not.  At that time no concrete was poured and the bonding work and inspection could have taken place.  I would have received profit on the concrete decking but did not as the hired others to do that work outside of the contract.  The [redacted] have even tried to get the pool installer to finish the pool without paying me.  The progression of these events are well documented in a sequence of text messages that I intend to provide shortly.  I have spoken to both of the [redacted] as recently as today to resolve the issues.  I have received the liner from the manufacturer today actually and I am ready to complete the job but I do require payment.
